"Queen" is a great album. It's the first record I ever bought, and one of my favorite Queen albums. I decided to buy this album on cd so I can play it in the car when my Dad and I go out and about. The opening track, "Keep Yourself Alive" is a fitting opening to such a grandiose album/5(84).

Queen’s first album differs from many debut albums because it shows an unusually high level of technical polish in its songwriting and arrangements. A good example of this advanced craftsmanship is "The Night Comes Down," an ambitious song that combines a delicate melody with a hard-driving arrangement to create an intriguing fusion of ballad.

The debut album "Queen" is one of my favorites (10/10). I've seen Queen fans don't like The Night Comes Down or at least here on Reddit. May I know why? For me, it's unique and catchy, sounds like something The Beatles would do. Hardly the worst song on the album.

This song is very reminiscent of early morning rain, and sudden realizations about the world we live in. which in my view is in its best format on vinyl. The album was influenced by heavy metal and progressive rock. The Night Comes Down - Queen - Queen final song on the album is a short instrumental version of " Seven Seas of Rhye," the full version of which would appear on the band's second album, Queen II.
